Here is my girl friend

What can I tell you about us……….Well I can give you the usual song and dance about where we were educated, how many images we’ve published ,how I have taught photography for 15 years, or that my wife and I have shot weddings together for over a decade.  I’d rather tell you about one of my wife’s first encounters with me.  She wasn’t my wife and we were still kids. She had thrown caution to the wind, along with some third grade classroom assignments. I picked up those papers, strewn about the playground. Promptly, I marched right to her home and returned them to her 6’6” father, doing what I thought was an act of chivalry…….. Guess what? She had thrown them on that field and had no intention of showing her parents!!!!!!!!!  Can you believe that! Let’s just say she didn’t expect to ever see those papers again, nor imagined her father’s eyes upon them.  She did however, appreciate the thought behind their return (a point I learned later). We became friends and I fell in love with her. It is that feeling I have for her that inspires me to shoot weddings. When I capture that feeling between couples, whether it is the slightest look or touch, it reminds me of the love I have for her. Not to mention after 17 years of marriage and two beautiful sons, we consider shooting weddings together a “date”. Just think, there are great people, food, music and hours of alone time with my wife! From our experience, the wedding day is the beginning of a wonderful journey. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to be a part of yours.
